  • Taylorcraft Blue Prints

I have a bunch of stuff copied for BC12D, Gilberti, couple of original drawings etc that was obtained over the years, Forest Barbour provided most. Anyway, just cleaning up the garage and was
going to throw this out. Not sure anything original is there but thought I should offer if someone wants the same , otherwise will go in the trash.

Hello BTW I see a few familiar names floating around, it's been a while since I sold the T and switched to the spam can 172.

Hey Robert, good to hear from you again. Don't throw anything away, I am sure someone will want it. There is a lack of information coming from the source, of late. Thanks for offering it up on here.
    Cheers,
    Marty

Having a look now this is what is there:

Drawings for Swick T short wing, aileron counter balance and jury strut, etc.
Aluminum wing conversion drawings, brackets, wet tank, fittings , etc.
Gilberti blue prints complete ( originals I believe or descent copies)
        Taylorcraft engineering order drawings various
Misc Detailed drawings of most of the fittings, motor mounts , cowl, struts, ribs, compression tubes etc. etc.

I'm sure most of this is out there , but just to be safe it would be best in the hands of someone that can share the resources with others.

I can box up and send to any address would like to have the freight taken care of though. My guess is the package will be around 5LB, from NL Canada
I'd say $25US freight should cover the cost to ship anywhere by ground.

Send that money to my email via paypal with your address and I'll have it out the next day.

It's yours if you want it, conditions below, just need freight covered. If you decide you are not interested I will offer to others, will wait for you to make up your mind.

This is what I fly these days. Its in the owner maintenance category in Canada. Oversized floats ( 2250) Borer 84" prop, PowerFlow exhaust, making around 170HP from a 0-320. Off the water in seconds alone, a great performer, best 172 on the planet

Helps that it was the lightest version of 172 ever made . Only STOL mod are the Horner Tips. I put a full Moose aboard late in the fall, I was off the water in 9 seconds. By full Moose I mean quartered and skinned of course. It was a small animal, probably around
            85lbs to the quarter , I weigh 200lb .

If you don't have specific plans to make use of the drawings. Let me know. I am slowly building up the CAP library and I get a lot of inquiries for Taylorcraft engineering support. I have a significant part of the powerplant related items and some others. But it sounds like Robert's collection would give us a greater knowledge base. Give me a shout when you get through the docs. II'll be happy to pay you for your time, trouble, and a reasonable price.

All I want is to have the freight covered. Someone already said they would take this by email, I thought it was Kevin, maybe that was you. See below.

Hello Robert, good to hear that you're still around and thinking of us stuck in the 1940's with our lowly Taylorcraft

Thanks also for thinking about disposing of your Tcraft info to us all.

Are you well? Your 172 looks a fine machine! All the best,
                      Rob

Starting to look like it will be SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive to scan these and post the electronic files to the group! Then everyone can review the drawings on their computers and print the parts they need.
I have a drafting company I used when I was at NASA that can scan them. If we can get the number of drawings and sizes I can get a price to convert them to electronic. Anyone want to consider than route?
