My 41 is DONE

Last week I completed my restoration project at home. Next stop is the airport for final assemby. A friend offered me a space in his heated hanger at his private strip for the winter. This late in the season here in Connecticut I think it best to shoot for early spring to roll out the completed bird. Anyway I just felt I should put out a few pictures of another one of these fine aircraft almost ready
to take to the skies.

Just a little news, they are NEVER done. Now you go from restoration to maintenance. Good thing it is fun. ;-)

As we all know every airplane with one engine is a Piper Cub, especially to the news media. So I my be stuck with that perspective.

It's not a hangar, it's my wife's half of a two car garage. The Taylorcraft is restoration #5. It all started with a Cessna 140 then a 45 Tcraft, 7AC Champ, Cessna172 and now the 1941 Taylorcraft. Marj may just get her garage bay back this winter when I move the Tcraft to the airport. Possibly as soon an November.She said, I'll believe that when I see it.
