Because it is harder to make the pins with the 1/16" knurling. Though their tail surface pins are also more expensive.

Everything is more expensive from univair for a taylorcraft, gear legs were $1500 when a pacer leg was 500.....I don't think they sell many at that price...

The pacer legs don't fit (at least the left one doesn't)

its a comparison of design vs cost...taylorcraft= getting screwed/piper=affordable

The guy I spoke to who started making the tail pins after I spoke to him about the lack of knurled pins, moved-on from Wag a couple of years ago. I spoke to his assistant a couple of years ago about making the aileron pins but never received a call back. I have been remiss in calling back to see if they can make them. Apparently I need to do so and see what they can do.
            Cheers,
            Marty

I would be willing to buy a batch of pins if I could get a bulk price, but someone will have to come up with a very specific criteria and specification for the pins. IE plating, heat treat, tolerances etc. Tim
