Re: Bungee Question
Not a problem Mike. I just got back from the West Coast for work and there was another stack of letters here. Several new guys joined the list and there are 7 people I haven't heard from who expressed interest. If Mike C, Shawn H, Sabrina H, Mike L, Michael K, Clayton R or one person I only know as "Tim" with a 41 are (or are no longer) still interested just let me know. I am only using first names and last initial to dodge any spammers, most of us know you guys.
If anyone else is interested there is still time and we only need one more plane to make 50 bungees on both the pre and post war planes. I am sure we will make it now based on people who have contacted me and will be mailing this weekend.
Be sure to contact me soon if you want to be in on the buy. We are running out of time fast now (I WILL cover anyone who verifies mailing their checks that I haven't gotten yet).

Re: Bungee Question
Matt,
The orders are already in and the bungees are being built. That's the bad news.
The good news is we had a few guys who never paid or sent their address forms in so there are a few sets left over! Your plane should need the 9010HDs which are $72.15 a set which includes shipping. I am at

Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
The form is attached (we actually use the form top as your address label, so make sure it is legible!)but we forgot to add phone numbers to it so please put yours on the bottom so I can call you if there is a problem.
For the rest of the group, I got phone numbers from a bunch of checks and some just put theirs on the form. I do not have numbers for Gary Austin, Lawrence Bugg, Carl Carson, Louie Chanpeau, Mike Lazarowicz, Harold Schwab, mike Wood, or Richard Young. There weren't any problems with any of those orders so it wasn't a big deal but it would be nice ot have a number in the database in case an order gets returned.
For the guys who didn't get their forms or checks in, I paid for them and will be selling off the extras. You each got multiple messages asking if you were still interested. I am hesitant to post names here of those we bought for and didn't send the forms or checks but in case a letter was lost in the mail I never heard from Mike Cushway, Mike Redpath and Clayton Roney. You need to contact me or your bungees will be sold to the next late order person in line.

Re: Bungee Question
Two people who missed out on the original order have asked for bungees sets. The only really fair way to do this is to go "first come, first served" on the extra ones I bought.
I will pass the extras to the first people who send their checks in and return the checks that come in too late. I will keep everyone posted on when they are all sold.
Hank
Next step is for us to find all the bungee tools and get together for some bungee parties! I think we are are going to need to buy some more tools!

Re: Bungee Question
Folks, I wanted to check with all those who ordered bungees. They were all mailed out the last week of July and should all be in your hands now. If you paid for bungees and DID NOT get them SPEAK UP! There are a few sets left that folks asked for, I paid for, and I was never got a check or mailing label. If no one chimes in I will check what PNs I have and they will go up for grabs.
Chris, yours are waiting for you in NY with the door drawings and an "extra" two goodies in the box for you plane. I can't find the card the "donor" gave me but he is pretty excited to hear about how his "find" looks on an airplane. I will send his contact info as soon as I find it.
Bird, I know you have been tied up with the job here so yours are here and I am holding them for you.
For all others, we should probably think about doing this every couple of years. If we can set it up so the manufacturer can schedule his products through the line, we may be able to keep him in business for the long run and keep the price down. I showed a guy from the Cub club how we did it and they may try too. Looks like a good deal for everyone if we keep it coordinated. Cubs have a standing recommendation that the bungees get changed every 5 years, but they are in a little more hostile environment than our are.

Re: Bungee Question
So far only 2. Not something you use often, but when you need it, nothing else will do! Had to make a change on the firewall for my IA and I probably would have lost 4 or 5 days before I could have gotten back out with something from the fastener supplier. Not a single one the right size in my "misc" box, but the perfect thing in that sandwich bag!
The guys on this group are life savers.
Hank
As soon as I get the bungees on it looks like she will be ready to breath fire again. Photos to follow (got to get time from the FAA contract now).
