prewar pants have a vertical riveted seam. postwar pants have a chrome strip down the middle.
None of pre war that I've seen have a riveted seam. One half has a vertical flange, and the other side has a vertical flange that lays against it and wraps over and back down like a "U" channel.

I was wrong, what I have match's nothing mentioned here so far! No seam of any kind, I forgot to knock on them to see if they are glass.

PS: As you can see they are still mounted on my bird still sitting in the dirt floor hanger, but the rent is $0.00/month

Those are Aeronca pants, pretty common to see fiberglass reproductions on Taylorcrafts, if those are original metal and not fiberglass, they would be worth a bunch.
