I got mine from Skybound in GA.
Understand they still do business but sometimes can be delays.

      WTB-4 Shinn brake shoes
Shinn brakes got my goat. BC12D shoes had loose brackets so I sent them out to have the brackets installed on new shoes. Got them back later than promised, three different sizes, and with the adjustment all the way open the drums will not fit.

DIsc brakes can stop you on a dime. You will be up side down on the runway, but you WILL be able to stop on that dime. Properly adjusted, the stock brakes work fine and can STILL put you on your back if applied too hard at any speed faster than an easy trot. NEVER use the brakes at faster than a walking speed. They are for holding you for a MAG check (and you may creep a bit) and maneuvering in tight spaces. DIsc brakes on a Taylorcraft are like putting Tractor trailer brakes on a VW Bug.
