Greetings, in need of right pedals for a 46 BC-12D, has cable brakes. Found images of the parts on this site last night.

I have the pedals at home now and just haven't had time to draw them. They are fairly simple and can probably be welded up from steel. The cast ones are kind of hard to find. Sorry to those I said I would get the drawings out for. Supposed to be "T" Storms today so maybe I can get them done.
This is what the RH brakes system looks like on the 45s from the factory. More photos available if needed.

When I bought the 45 the RH brakes were missing the pedals and the cables were removed. The floor boards (plywood) had been replaced with the holes for the RH pedals covered over. All he pulley holders were still there but it looked like someone was tired of rigging the RH brakes and just took them out. First photo is of the floor board as I got them. Still had the metal heel plate for teh pilots brakes, the holes for the old battery box and the mount for the Pyrene fire extinguisher. Note the RH wood looks a bit different than the LH. I think the owner just cut a new piece of ply and left the hole out for the pedals.

ID:	184048 Couple of views of the brakes under the floor boards. I found a second set of pedals but had to figure out where the cables ran. Note pulley mounts on cross tube.

I estimate that over 40 UK taildragger pilots at my airfield alone, have cut their taildragging teeth, myself included, in one or other of my Taylorcraft B models based here in the last 20 years (say an average of 2 per annum)

Neither of these two Taylorcraft have right-hand brakes.

Why is there such a fear amongst US instructors about not having brakes on the right?

Honestly, I fear HAVING the RH brakes more than not. Energy management is key, not slamming the brakes on. That usually doesn't end well. I think that may be a reason the RH brakes were disconnected in my 45.

Our problem is not enough grass strips.

Our CFI is not demanding pedals, Im the IA putting the 46 together. Our student/owner has 0 tail time. My call! Once I get my Light Sport CFI my personal choice will be right pedals. Ounce of prevention comes to mind. You brits are the best wet weather drivers in the world, d**m good pilots too! Don't like aircraft getting tore up when a simple change might have prevented it. My 2 cents. Anyways the're going in, my entry will be a minor alteration and we press on. A super Cub is next, folded a gear on landing. Then a 50 Pacer ( cleveland disc with 4 brake cylinders)

Our airplane has righthand brakes, but I don't consider it a must have. I am planning no brakes and a skid for the next restoration.
