Looking for a wheel nut aka axle nut?

Looking for the nut that holds the wheel on and has the threads you can bolt the wheel pant on. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one?

Most that I have seen went inside the axle and used a regular nut.

I have to admit I have not seen this one before. Has anyone seen this. I wonder if its a rare nut?

is that a Cessna nut? that's what comes to mind for me

I don't know of any Cessna that have a axle as small as the Taylorcraft. I am guessing a one off made by someone with a lathe and some machinist skills.

Mine are similar, just hex the whole length. I think that is what Forrest is referring to in post #6 of this thread:

Those are what mine look like from either the 41 or the 45 (can't remember right now which nuts were on which plane but the diameters and threads were different between 41 and 45).
