Any chance anyone would have the nose bowl and lower cowl for an F-19?
    Thanks,
    Jim Taylor, Lowell AR.

Lower cowl is flat sheet that can use a little massaging in the English wheel... you can use the nose bowl from Univair...tim

Thanks! I had huge bumps, but didn't like them, so I was thinking of skirting clear around the exhaust like a super cub. But I may stay with bumps. Any thoughts?

Are you running the 150 exhaust? Tim

          Jim,
I have a lower cowl that lays flat on the ground in the parts pile. Would cost a fortune to ship but a tracing on a big piece of paper would be easy. Would a tracing help?

          Hank

Got to dig it out. Being flat, it is probably on the BOTTOM of the pile!

Hank I would like a tracing of a bottom flat cowl, is it for a F-19?

No idea. I got it with a bunch of other Taylorcraft parts. I just remember that when I laid it down it flopped out completely flat. All my planes are pre or barely post war (40, 41 & 45) so I know almost nothing about the later Ferris planes.
I will try to dig it out next time out at the airport.
Waiting for the repaired mag to get back from the shop to get the 41 running again.

I would also be interested in a tracing if possible, just getting started on upgrading 1941 n29747. I have access to scanners and cadd. Could get into email form for others if interested.
Getting c85-12 overhauled as we type. could use some guidance on starter and generator for short mount.

                Thanks. Paul

Looks like this one might need to be more than a simple tracing. When I find it I will start with a simple trace for Jim (or whoever wants to verify the shape is right.....it COULD be the reason I have it and it isn't on a plane is it is messed up!) Once it is verified the shape is good I can do a real drawing and maybe we can have it digitized so anyone can take the file to Kinkos and get it printed full size.

The only starter that will fit on the short mount is a B&C starter also the little B&C alternator works well also a side note you also need to change the exhaust system to either a Luscomb or hanlin walker from a cessna 150.Look up my engine change to n26658 lots of photos. Chuck,

Just curious, do you have to pull the engine to remove the starter?

NO but you do need to drop the top mount bolts out and let the engine drop down to get it out.
