Re: Header Tank Fuel Shut-off Valve

Here is Terry's contact info...We are working on meeting and documenting what is construed as an owner produced part until I get a PMA. He is the person who will get you what you need. Tim

Keep going. Mine works for now but will Plan for a future upgrade. What is the price point looking like?

Re: Header Tank Fuel Shut-off Valve

Mine is still disassembled and I have a fresh new tube of E-Z TurnŽ fuel lube from A/C Spruce and Teflon 3/32" valve packing rope plus pumice for lapping the surfaces so am going to try a test fit and check for leaks and smooth operation. If I encounter any snags I will probably be in line for a replacement. It was leaking constantly last time it was on the aircraft and would take forever to shut off the fuel but the action was ok otherwise. Really not bad for a 72+ year old part.

Did these valves ever get made & approved? I need one. Mine is long gone and was replaced with a non-approved valve on the engine side of the firewall. I've having my first annual done since I bought my plane last year. The IA wants it to be restored to the original valve & rod equipment & configuration.

It also has a non-approved gascolator that has to be approved. I've been told that a Steve's gascolator is the way to go.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Make sure the IA knows what is correct and what isn't. I know someone who had a T-Craft that the IA wanted a bunch of stuff fixed. $4500 richer for the mechanic, and the airplane wasn't any better than when they started.

I sent out what valves I could find that people wanted last week, they should all be to their new homes by now. If I owe someone one, just shoot me a text. Things have been chaotic this summer so if I missed someone, I do apologize. Tim

I have some more valves in stock and if anyone needs one, just shoot me a PM. I also ordered a couple of the elbows that I can solder a screen into. The everything is built to order to keep with the owner produced parts rules. Thanks, Tim
