  • Chet Peek's Taylorcraft Book; I'm missing pages

I acquired a used copy of Chet Peek's Taylorcraft book for use as I rebuild/restore a 1940 Model B, BL 65. Unfortunately right in the heart of the Model B section of Mr. Peek's book, it is missing Pages 87, 88, 89, & 90. Suggestions, on how to acquire these missing pages which are legal, moral and ethical would be appreciated.

I would assume Chet wouldn't have a problem with us xeroxing the torn out pages and sending them to you. There would be no money changing hands and if it was my book I would want the reader to have the whole thing. I have worn the cover out on my copy and can probably make some copies of your missing pages.

If Chet is on here and does have a problem, please chime in!

I could also just scan those pages and send them to you and you can print them.

I had to look that up... I thought maybe it was something like hieroglyphics. I wasn't sure that would help, lol.

Thank you, Mr. Jarrett. I think i'll wait a couple of days before asking you if you 'd mind doing that and see what other suggestions might come in that might lend other insights and not require others to go out of their way. I've been inquiring in the inter-library loan system but not finding the book there. Next step is calling the Library personally and see if they can use their expertise. (Actually, maybe I should contact my daughter she has a degree in library sciences. Duh!)

It really isn't a lot of trouble. Stick the book on the printer/scanner 4 times and save the file. Email the file to you as a PDF. If you can read these messages your computer should open the PDF files. Just save them to your computer and print them.
All I need is your email address.

Take a picture with your cell phone.

Go to your APP store of choice and get the app called Scanbot. Get the one you pay for it's only $1 or $2 for no ads.

It uses your cell camera as a scanner and produces hi-res pdfs or jpgs. It is highly rated and editors choice on a number of review sites. You can email, text, upload to dropbox etc... It has many other scan features, I've been using it for 2 years+. I've found it works best when the page to be scanned is on a darker surface so the automatic edge detect works quicker.

Mr. Jarrett, I have tried to send a couple of email messages but apparently somethings amiss, (as I am seeing no confirmation on the forum that they've been sent. Or, you've just been busy, if so I apologize for additionally bothering you. I would very like like to take you up on your offer to scan and email the missing pages to me if you wouldn't mind. It was pages 87, 88, 89, and 90. Thank you, Clark Freese My email: [email protected]

You should have gotten them. I just resent the message. Let me know if they don't come through.
