This was my Deluxe from 2006 right after we got a permanent airworthiness on it. s/n 3394 originaly built as a L-2H with a 65 Lycoming in Feb of '42. Last prewar "B" was s/n 3400. Still had the remains of the original cotton covereing as the belly was still wearing its OD green. It is at least 2 owners removed from me now and in Colorado currently. Unfortunately i do not have alot of good pics of it.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was my plane! Post ANY more photos you have. My 41 was "obtained" by the government after Pearl Harbor and was supposed have been used as a sub spotter in the war. I would love to see any photos of what they looked like then.

Mine left the factory in OD paint and was sold directly to US Army. The interior was left as civilian taupe and maroon. I almost painted it back that way when I built it. It never flew under its original number 39125. When we got it it was painted orange and creme, but they did not paint the belly which was still OD. Only reason I knew it left the factory that way. I have a few pics of the restoration, but pretty sure all the orignal pics I took when I started in it have been lost.
