    Greg,
Thanks for the measurement. Your new nose cowl and upper cowl look GREAT! Are you planning to use shielded ignition? If no Ercoupe cups then you'll have to break down and cut holes in that nice upper cowl and add bumps. Otherwise with non-shielded ignition your set.

      Thanks Terry,

I actually installed the ercoupe cups last year in preparation for the new top cowl! They work great! Finished the fitting work for the new top pieces and riveted in the new window fairing today. Primed and ready for final color tomorrow!! Now, just need some time and some cylinders!

Greg...I spent about three minutes looking at the floorboards trying to figure out what you did to the forward, right corner of the right side one. (Left edge of photo). Also, what are the oval like indents toward the back edge of each board? I finally realized I was seeing a reflection of the background. Great paint job. Now you need "No Shoes" placards.

              Mike,

I didn't notice the reflections until you mentioned it. There is a little 'debris' in the finish but I am pretty happy with the finished product. Still hoping to have the cylinders back in time for Fort Parker!

Here are a few comparisons from old to new parts,,,

                      Re: N96043 1946 BC12-D

                      Well,

After almost two years I am almost ready to get N96043 back into the air. It has been agonizing working through the process! After the work posted here up through May of last year things ended up coming back apart and acquisition of a new (remanufactured) engine. Since last December I removed the A-75 which had bad main bearings not to mention worn out crank, cam, etc, installed an electrical system and C85-12 with new baffles, oil filter, starter and alternator. It has been a laborious process but I think the light is at the end of the tunnel and we will be airborne possibly in just a couple of weeks. I can't thank the members of the Tribe enough for the assistance through this process. The information available on this forum is invaluable not to mention the specific members that provided direct support to me over the last couple of years. Just to name a few and I apologize if I miss anyone, Chuck Avon, Mark Julicher and Terry Bowden. While I was waiting for the new engine to show up I took advantage of the time to address and tidy up other items that needed attention. While I thoroughly enjoy (as I expect many of us do) working on my Taylorcraft, I am really looking forward to enjoying the 'flying' part of this partnership! Attaching a few photos.

Thanks again to the group for providing a great place to collect and share info on these great aircraft!
