        Re: Taylorcraft gone again

        It's a shame 100 of us couldn't get Brownsville to give the foundation all the rights to the Taylorcraft for $1,000 each (yea, GIVE it to the Foundation so IT owns the Taylorcraft for the good of ALL of us). I can imagine we would save over $1,000 over the life of the planes pretty easy and if the Foundation (or a part of it) owned all the rights free and clear they could actually make some parts without going bankrupt (couldn't make any money, but at least Forrest and the board wouldn't be eating nothing but beans for the next few years).
        I doubt we could get the rights by just paying the $100,000 owed, but if we could I would put $1,000 down for a "no voice in management" share in a heart beat.

          Re: Taylorcraft gone again

          What exactly is the current status of the Taylorcraft factory, and ownership of the company? For sale?
          I'm still working on a documentary about C.G. Taylor & Taylorcraft and writing a screenplay (mini-series) about C.G. Taylor & Taylorcraft.
          Another project I'm developing is about the WASP, and related to it... I'm looking for L2s, and a C3 Link Trainer. I'm looking for an L2 (even a basket case project) for myself.

              Let's see what kind of money we are looking at but if it is an affordable number then count me in also.

                Forrest? I think we are pretty serious about this. Any idea what it would really cost to pull this off? I'm not talking about starting a factory at this point, just getting the tooling that is worth having and the legal papers to own the design.

                    Re: Taylorcraft gone again

                    Have the assets been seized yet to cover the debt? Who owns Taylorcraft now and who has their claws in the company?

                      Re: Taylorcraft gone again

                      It seems as if the www.taylorcraft.com website is gone. At least it wouldn't come up for me. Check it for yourself. Anyway, it is illegal in civil legal terms to advertise for something you do not have or you can get. So this may be an admission of finality. OR, the site being up and down before, it may mean
                      a momentary interruption. See what you think.
                      With regards;

                        Guys remember what had been discussed before. I reminded everyone that there is a way for a small company to make parts for "owner manufactured partss" without owning a type certificate.
