  • Prod Forrest please

    Hello everyone.
Please could someone prod Forrest for me.
There are only two L2's in the Uk and I own one which I am rebuilding at present.
I joined the Taylorcraft Foundation in December and paid for the desperately needed Cd's with the blue prints on but have not recieved them and Forest is not answering my e-mails. Is he on holiday?
At present I am working on the Port wing but I need those drawings. Please help.
    Northumbrian.

CD's, prints and documentation have been frequent requests in this forum. Has anyone ever got any of these??

        Re: Prod Forest please

There was a gentleman this site that took the time to copy and convert all the drawings to CDs. He did not want to have to sell or otherwise distribute these on an ongoing basis so he gave them to Forrest Barber to distribute. He and all of us see this now as a ....ake well fill in the blanks. Forrest is a knowledgable and swell guy. His ability to respond ? Forrest please help this guy out !!!!! houndhoundhoundhound

          yes i have

they are very poor quality on the cd often the dimensions cannot be made out

the cd has L2 drawings and in some cases the same part is used on a B model and the L2 so you can use the drawing from the cd to fix your B

at least I can repair my rudder and say I had the drawing

generally though I would say they are useless

I think you are refering to the 3 cd set from some time ago. Forrest was working on something new.

And to think I let A ton of drawings (like all the airframe drawings- full sized) go with the L2 project I sold back in 2004

Forrest... is this a burden on you? Do you need someone else to relieve you? With proper permissions... C.A.P. would gladly distribute copies of the L2 CD's. We would simply need to charge a small amount as needed to cover expenses. It would be a shame to keep this information from the Taylorcraft public since it was intended for the benefit of all.

You can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I like to drown them though....Tim
