Re: C85 Engine up grade on n26658
That is beautifull!I have a B&c alt on a o-360-lyc in my acro sport II,and I ended up getting a noise filter(from B&C) to put in line for the alternator.I had a slight humming in the radio (val-com 760) and this took care of it.I would try it first after you get the 85 installed to see if you need it.I know of a couple fellow running the B&c alt and had no noise problems.Just my two cents worth.Keep us posted on your progress.

OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! That is SOOOO PURDY! I would keep that is MY living room too. Of course I would have to live in the hangar while Debbie processed the divorce papers. She is patient, but not THAT patient. I have to keep my parts in the guest bedroom and dining room. ;-)

No, she wouldn't mind a Harley next to YOUR dining room table at all! ;-)
Hank
I should post a picture of our dining room. Debbie works from home now so she took over my "library" as her office. Shortly after that my company sent us home and closed our office space down (we are a "distributed workforce" now) so I am working from home too! I got the dining room table. The room looks like a post tornado operations center with computers and papers all over the table and boxes of work and drawings all over the place.

Cool, you have the bigger better oil tank, what carb do you have?
They have new engine baffling that is powder coated, it is real nice.
Rod Hansen got the first set, I got the second set, it has a lycoming style seal to the cowling.
I have pics if I could get them uploaded.
Real Gaskets has a Lyc style push rod tube kit, it works well and has better access.
The Lycons 9.5:1 work really good, I rode in one once, you can feel the difference.
I wouldn't have done the extended mount if I had to do it over, I think they fly better with the short mount.
What do you have for a propeller?

I have the -12 in N43955 and it is great engine. I have the long mount which makes it easier to work on things and the battery is on a floor board behind the seat. I also have the screw-on oil filter adapter. But, you really need to get that engine out of the living room and hung onto your plane. Enjoy.
