tailwheel leaf spring bracket and gear safety cables

Here are some pics of my fabrication of the tail wheel spring bracket made to the factory drawings Forest posted on the web. The only thing I had to change was the 3 bumps that were pressed in at the factory. I welded small pins in instead.

The last two pictures are of the my new Safety cables. According to what I found on the forum, they are supposed to be 27 3/4 inside to inside. The one I had was a full 2 inches longer. Any guess why mine was so Long? It appears to be original but who knows.
