Hey gang, I am sadly putting my aircraft on the market. It is a 1946 BC-12-D that I just last May had a new engine installed. I told my mechanic I wanted a good reliable engine and so he put in one from Don's Dream Machines in Georgia. I understand he is known for his engines. We put a gear in for possible future alternator, but one is not currenlty installed. It has 8:50 tires, overhauled prop, new seats, new bungees, new airspeed indicator, new tach, new instrument panel. Fresh paint on all of the exterior metal. New Becker radio/intercom that uses verly little power. I have a sealed battery in the battery box behind the seat. The last annual was done when the engine was installed and we went through everything (I like breathing so I wanted to make sure the aircraft is safe!). Anyhow, it is a great aircraft, I just need a faster one as I live in Rapid City, SD and my daughters live in Raleigh, NC and San Fransico. I need more speed. Looking for a CTLS I think. If anyone is interested please give me a call at 605-209-3356 and I will be happy to tell you all the details. OOps! I should have put this in the for sale category. Sorry guys and gals. Also, I bought the aircraft in 2010 for $18000 and my mechanic says my total for engine, tires, etc is $22000. Total of $40000 invested. Hoping to get close to that if possible. Will consider offers. Thanks everyone!

Scott,
Hey... I have been meaning to look you up to ask for a write-up and photos about your plane for my CAP blog. Your description over the phone sounds like you have a really nice Taylorcraft... I am especially interested in your modified instrument panel. Nice paint job by the way... (I am biased).Terry Bowden, formerly TF # 351
