Settings - you can change the default "legacy" to anything you like. Since I like Hank, I changed his some time ago...

      Re: What does "Legacy" mean

I am honored. Sorry I didn't notice sooner.
      Hank

Too busy talking to read my own posts.

I also just noticed there is a direct link up there to send emails to the person. NEAT!

Just noticed Bob's has that but mine doesn't. HMMMMM! Time for a little more education.

        Hank,

When I click on your name it does come up with an e-mail choice, maybe it doesn't come up for you since you hopefully don't need to e-mail yourself. (That's what Post-It notes are for).
        Cheers,

          Re: What does "Legacy" mean

I'm talking about the AIM and Yahoo buttons under Bob's name. It lets you send a direct email to one of his accounts.
          Hank

By the way, I have been known to send myself email since for some stupid reason my Cox email doesn't save outgoing emails. I just add a blind copy to myself so I have a record.

If you can't fix it, find a way around it. ;-)

Well, Bob's the 'guy'. He can do whatever he wants! Maybe he will share the secret.

              Re: What does "Legacy" mean

Well, thanks for nothin' y'all Just kidding. At least most of us are more or less equally mystified. If I had to choose, I suppose I'd like something cute there; like, "TDSFA", or "Flying Burrito Brother" or "Cranky & Difficult" maybe? . I suppose too, that it makes some sense to require a small contribution to something and/or perhaps bonifide Taylorcraft ownership in order to get special treatment below the byline. Ya think? Anyway, this is as fine a bunch of human beans as I ever encountered outside of prison. You can take that to the bank on my say-so if you want, but it won't do you a bit of good. Honest! So I'll go back to more or less silent running now until I can get a BC something lasso'd and roped down at my local. If I can get my boat sold I'll be making contact again for advice on qualified pre-buy/annual inspectors around the country. Fat tires and the Don Swords treatment with Terry's STC will be the goal after all the dust settles.

                Re: What does "Legacy" mean

                Hey Dan,

I don't know if bonifide Taylorcraft ownership would get you anything extra below your byline. But you don't have to spend a bunch of money on exotic stuff like a Don Sword engine or even Terry's very reasonable STC to have a fun Taylorcraft. A plain ol Taylorcraft will get you off the planet for a few hours and put a smile on your face. There are plenty out there with a stock C85 that can get you up and over the mountains.

John; your profile did not have editing your title turned on. its on now.

Dan; be careful what you ask for...

Money wise, there is no connection between the Foundation and this web forum. The forum is paid for by generous donations of which so far only two people kick in; me and my friend Ted that hosts the software. Its like throwing a party every day - friends and strangers show up drink your beer, eat your food, write poetry on the walls, leave photos, and take a dump and then leave. Some bitch about the furniture and the beer, most leave happy.

I'm not complaining. just realize nothing is "free"; somebody has to do the work, pay the fees, pay for software updates, internet bandwidth, power, space...

Sounds like we need a note for contributions at the opening page. I think the only two contributing were the only ones who knew this was being paid for by you guys! I sure didn't know!
