i have no interest in attending the fly-in. but i would definitely attend the mentioned "work party".
I have tried in the past and offered, on this forum, to spend quite a bit of time in alliance (ill take vacation and spend a week there) to get the drawings and other technical information copied electronically so it would be more easily available to members. But i was never able to come up with a suitable scanner without spending my entire rebuild budget on it.
AND I would re join the foundation if this information was to become attainable.
As of right now, for me, there is no reason for me to go through the hassle of being a foundation member- I get all the information i need and then some right here on the forum.

Bob- get a paypal link up and I'll match ragwing's donation.

I knew a few people would be willing to match me. thanks

I joined the Foundation at the end of September and I did get Foundation Number 1072 in November. I think Forrest just has a lot going and he will get around to getting out the new membership numbers.
A lot of good information here and future friendships.

I joined the Foundation at the end of September and I did get Foundation Number 1072 in November. I think Forrest just has a lot going and he will get around to getting out the new membership numbers.

I sent my form and paid with pay pal on July 11th. I then followed up on July 31st......this is Forrest's reply, "we process each 30 -45 days u will be in next batch...." So if you joined in September and got your number in November how do you get a number before me? Dues are yearly? Do I send more money in and hope that someday I get a number?...just saying!

Hey Dale, Maybe I got the number you were supposed to get, or if Forrest's desk is anything like mine you could be buried at the bottom of the pile. All I know is that mine took two months. They did do a good job on this web site, well laid out and lots of useful information.

These last few post is why I think a online sign up or renewal is a good idea. It could send out renewal notices, the number could be assigned instantly, and you could print a card out right there online. Aslo if the tech data, drawings, ect. could be moved online in a member only section that would be good too. tom

well Tribe i have sat and watched this and here is my problem I have two member numbers in july of 2007 I joined at Oshkosh and was given # 835 then in july of 2008 at the fiy-in at Alliance Oh i wanted to renew and Forrest could not find any record of me having that number so he took my renewal and gave me number # 904 SO what should I do about this as I have signed letter from forrest stating I am #835 and no paper work for # 904 and I do have two member ship cards signed by Forrest one for#835 and one for#904 Oh well I now am in the Former member status Chuck

Then the back room with Daniel aboard did do the job. If you recall , you sent check WITH application and we finally got it worked out.

WE checked the past records and found #835 was Steve Fribley ; # 904 is blank in the data base. So I put "CVAVON " into that slot. He expires now Dec 31 , 2012 ; If cvavon will send me information for the application I will have Daniel enter it this month . Now back to shipping out L-2 CD's , three trim pulleys ; turnbuckles, push pull rods for ailerons and a print of the metal spar for the D model.

I am doing this without my I-Phone ; neat thread on I-Pads , etc...... doesn't anyone just follow sections lines, sun angles, compass or the very best ROADS and RR too!! We do ahve three fellows here using the I-pads for Navigation I must try that some time. www.barberaircraft.com is being updated next week. the Foundation is caught up and Daniel will be in again Jan . 27th to tie up loose ends , please e-mail me direct. Apparently the big virus in the fall kicked out a lot of e-mails. Another newsletter will be out here in Jan.

Well, to make matters even more interesting I sent in a paypal dues right near the first of January. But I have not sent in the paper application. Bottom line is I'm in it to support the foundation not for fame and fortune with a number of my own. I'm foundation number XXXX. that's good enough.

I had done the same thing. Sent in the application after the paypal payment. I think it may have been the reason for the delay. This time I sent in a check with the application. Had my number in just a few days. Forrest will make it right. You will get a number. I think it helps to have the money and application sent at the same time.
