    Pleasent Surprise when I visited the museum last week. Next time at least one grandkid goes so I can play in the educational waterpark.

    Did you notice the flaps? That is the airplane with flaps I was asking about a few threads ago. Can you imagine that airplane with the IO470-D? Its in Chet's book...Tim

      .....the Taylorcraft Model A, a light sport aircraft. Who wrote that description?

      A neat airplane but the British, who designed so many beautiful airplanes, definitely made that airplane an ugly duckling. Thanks for sharing!

          Someone coined the expression "fugly" after looking at an Auster. Lots still flying in the UK, but definitely a £££-hungry aeroplane to own & operate.
