  • Vintage der (v-der) delegation

I am very happy to announce that the FAA has finally expanded my DER delegation to include Vintage DER (V-DER) authority.

In effect, this adds the disciplines...
    - ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT
    - MECHANICAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT, and
    - STRUCTURES

...to my prior delegation, which has (since 2003) been limited to...
    - POWERPLANT INSTALLATION, and
    - ENGINES.

CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SPECIAL AUTHORIZATION AS VINTAGE DER (V-DER).

Does this mean that you will come to Maine and sign off my LED wingtip lamps?

            Perry,
You got a design for putting strobes in?!?!?! I want to hear about it. I was getting ready to start trying to design something to do that. Spent the last week putting the wiring in the 41 with the capability to power the system but haven't started to design yet.

Mainly because I'm not familiar with the atlee strobe. Can you point me to any information?

Its just a fiberglass mount to mount a common strobe on the verticle or rudder. Atlee Dodge has them....built them for a supercub.

Id like to use the Aveoflash LED nav/strobe lamps they will fit the existing lamp mounts and only draw a little over .5 amps.I only have a battery for my radio, but they are only for experimental a/c
