  • Data Plate missing

I'm looking for a data plate for my 1940 bl-65. I only have two screws. There about 2 1/8" apart. Any thoughts?? Has anybody seen a brass data plate? I found one for sale. If somebody can post a picture of an original 1940 plate, it would be appreciated.

prewar data plates were mounted on the cable covers beneath the door.

      Re: Data Plate missing

The cable covers were removable with a few wood screws so some of the pre-war planes had them screwed to the floor boards right next to the cable covers. The original regs said the plate had to be attached to a "non-removable" part of the plane, but every one I have seen was screwed to a removable part. I don't know where you COULD attach it that it couldn't be removed!

The left side cover dosen't have any additional holes. The right has just the two holes. My assumption is there for the Data Plate. Thanks
