Windshield question

Does anyone know how to make the metal band that goes at the bottom of the windshild and connects to the firewall bootcowl.

Buy one or make a buck and tap it out. Making the part is easy, making the buck is a PITA. You really need a good band to make the buck, which of course if you are making a buck it is because you don't HAVE a part.
Does anyone know if they are available new anymore? I have a beat up one for the 45 and want to make a better one. Is it worthwhile to put making a buck up higher on the list? MAking several bands at once makes the cost per band easier to take.
