  • Pictures of my 'new' pretzel yokes

I thought I would post some pictures of my 'restored' pretzel yokes and center caps.
Yokes were courtesy of one of our forum members and the caps and trim pieces were John's of Skyport Services.
I cleaned up the yokes and installed John's center hub cap, trim piece and Taylorcraft emblem. They turned out looking fantastic.
My old yokes were later model Taylorcraft that were not correct for my plane. I always like the pretzel yokes from my first BC-12D and they look great now. Next to Josh's pretty red throttle knob they are the newest items in the cockpit. Lots of work still to go in there, though.
John has a quality product that makes the yokes look like they were just installed from the factory.

Re: Pictures of my 'new' pretzel yokes

With all the hard work being done and great stuff the tribe is making now it's getting harder and harder to have a really "stand out" Taylorcraft! I am betting the Champ and Chief guys are getting really jelous and the Cub crowd is getting worried that Taylorcrafts are going to become the Kings of the old planes.
The wheels look GREAT! My set for the 45 are setting on top of the TV till I can restore the rest of the plane. That way I can look at them and dream and my wife thinks I'm watching one of her programs with her. ;-)
She really CAN'T think I smile like that because I like watching wedding shows, can she?
