Get someone out to keep that snow off the wings! You can do some SERIOUS damage to a plane with just a few inches of snow load!

I have a friend that sweeps it off every once in a while. Unfortunately I am 3K mile from her. Yeah, those jersey barriers weigh 6000 lbs each. My friend puts them around the airplane so it cant be stolen. Tim

          Tim,

Where is you plane parked? Hopefully we are done with the big snows, More than one Tcart has spar damaged from snow loading. I brush mine off every snow fall out of fear. Last year I removed the wings and stored it in a shipping container.

Let the Alaska guys worry about there airplanes and there snow load. They know more about snow load and winter flying then all of us in the lower 48 COMBINED.

Talk to George Hobson, Cliffs buddy, he is at Chena Marina. They have tie downs and might take better care of your bird. I know several people that have sustained spar damage from snow and it isn't cheep or easy to fix.
                Or
They fit in a connex good but you need to remove one of the tail feathers.

I am doing a new fwf, electrical, and going through the engine. I got a set of the Bauman floats last year, can't wait for the ice to go out.
