  • Pics of how the wood goes around top of cabin?

Does someone have a good link to pics of the wood formers around the top of the cabin? I'm particularly looking for pics of the two small pieces of wood that are behind the rear, lateral former (the one Mr. Clayton provides in his STC); I'm trying to see how the side, rear and the two small pieces intersect; the two side pieces extend about1 1/2" behind the rear former. - Mike

That was technical enough it might be beyond me!

We are talking about the piece that runs along the top of the longeron that fairs the top of the fuse to match the upper wing, right?

Those pieces were non existent on ours when we took it down for restoration and we build them from scratch.

We have fabric on our fuse already but no windshield or interior yet. I will try and get some better pics of that area tomorrow.

Not the best quality pic, but I think this is what you are referring to.

              THAT's IT
however, your pic is missing the cross piece that apparently also joins the two pieces shown; I'm going to assume all three must flow together.
              Thanks - Mike

The only photos I could find are these.

The first photo shows the port former (above the door) intersecting with the rear skylight former over the rear wing attach bracket.

What gets me is the loooong hours and craftsmanship that go into these restorations, most of it really professional! Then the t-craft, when sold , brings 20-25000.00 ! Something aint right here! JC
