  • First startup!

It's not Taylorcraft but here is a short video of the first startup of my Ford A powered Pietenpol. It was a momentous occasion for me and 12 years in the making. I know a couple of you here on the forum are Piet aficionados. Enjoy.

Good show, Mike. I like that cooling system you have there.

            Robert,
2011 is my goal(however aggressive). Will you be at Brodhead for the Piet Fly-In? I am flying Cub-186 down from Hartford again to have some fun Saturday.

            Terry,
I am still rounding up hoses to fly my 40 mile radius.

OK, 2011 it is! (I look forward to seeing it!)

Yes, I'm at Brodhead again for the Piet & Hatz fly-in...Mike Jones has again very generously made Ol' Blue available for me.

              See you there.

                Rob,

I haven't been able to get Mike up in Ol' Blue yet. If you two have some time when you're there, be sure to get some Tcraft time for him would you please??

You listening, Mr Cushway?.. Come find me, you know who I am! I am under orders from Mr Jones to get you some Tcraft time.

Congrats Mike! Our Tcraft just ran this week. We hope to be a broadhead in the Pacer on Sat. Maybe meet some of you. Keep going!

That is just too cool!! BTW, does anyone have the contact info for MAAC? I'd like to go to Brodhead this year but I understand you can't join on-site and their web page doesn't work.
