  • Yikes ! Folding bike for Taylorcrafts !

    If you haven't seen this, put your seat belt on...

    It is very expensive (for now). But the concept, design and execution are brilliant. This could actually be put in the baggage sack of a Taylorcraft.

    Somebody give this guy the Nobel Prize.

        10km = 6.2 miles
        weight 22 lbs.
        25km+ 15.5 mph

        But still a good start! Larry

                  I bought my A-bike for the plane a few years ago,12# comes with a shoulder strap carry bag,very small wheels with 90psi in them. It fits in the Tcraft & works OK. I wouldn't want to rise it 100 miles but it sure beats walking & I can even strap it on the Phantom U/L. It was only $75 including shipping.

                    I have often carried a xootr for transportation on the ground. Nice and light weight, and good for 5 miles. I have ridden longer distances but it starts to become work. http://www.xootr.com/kick-scooter_cruz.html

                        Try a product called Spy Sweeper or Spysweeper from Webroot. I had a major computer virus-spyware crash a couple of months ago and wound up losing a lot of data. After conferring with a smarter guy than myself, I installed this program, and it has alerted me HUNDREDS of times about stuff like that. Also it prevents anything from getting in and wreaking havoc. You might be really really surprised at what is lurking in your computer. The biggest tell-tale is if you have this overall weird sense that your computer is just slower than it used to be, the internet is slower, and everything takes a little too much time.

                            I will stick with my zooma scooter, $349.99 and 1 litre of premix is 15 miles at 18 mph. It folds down to fit in my T-craft along with a tent, sleeping bag, 40lbs of survival gear. Tim

                              Wow! An electric Penny-Farthing bicycle. What will they think of next?

                              Okay, that was snarky and I apologize. A little. I admire their chutzpah for marketing it, for sure. Practical, no. Cool, not really. Different, definitely.

                              So my idea of packing the roller-blades in the sack of my '40 isn't original, but they've got great bike trails on the Outer Banks and I'm sure I'll do fine. Better exercise than the Yike-whatsis and I doubt I'll cause any wrecks on the roads.

                              Thanks for the video though, Bill. Interesting.
