Occasionally there is a lull in Forum activity, but recently there has been a noticeable increase (with new members contributing loads). Spring is almost in the air, perhaps?
I noticed a week or so ago that the thread "Harer STC" was on it's 7th page. I just checked, it had 108 replies. I don't ever recall any thread receiving that many replies. The Harer STC or installing a more powerful engine has always been high on the list of interests for Taylorcraft owners.
We are having spring like weather here in the Pacific NW, USA. I just had to bury a dog whos time had come. Even though I used a backhoe, I still had a light perspiration. That is rare around here this time of year.
Yes, spring IS in the air. And soon, I'll be also!
The temperature are low and the snow continues to fall in New York. I have far more hours logged on the snow blower than I do on my T-Craft project or my flyable Cherokee 180.
Yep, noticed the pick-up in traffic here. That's good.
Been sunshine and hovering around 70 here most of the week. Flat hot inside the car. This is not in SoCal either, rather central.
For about the last 4 years we have been having continually improving weather (well, warmer, I guess that is good) in February, each year. Warm weather was breaking about the 1st of March before and has moved forward about a week a year since. Don't know what that means. At least we did get some needed rain before it cleared up and got so pretty.
Still unseasonably cool here in North Cackalacky. It's been super-wet and we've had two good snows this year. This weekend is supposed to be warmer with temps up near 60 deg. F (15-ish C). Maybe a little wind will help dry out the strip. I've been flying throughout when vis and ceiling allow, but I'm getting a little tired of cleaning mud off the bottom of my wings and tail. Need to get me some cool fenders or maybe (egads!) wheel pants.
We've got a guy on the field with a NEW 182 that makes divots like you would not believe. The sod is just too soft for that beast when it's wet. I have been using the "parallel" dry stretch.
I need the weather to dry up so I can get down to my backyard so I can clean out my basement (yeah that where the bird is parked, slooped hill), last time this happened cost me $40 and 5 lbs moose meat to get the 4 wheel chevy out of there
F22A back from the Annual no grief, welded fuel tank seems to be holding ok, replaced the starter relay and starts first time, getting in plenty of flying around West Wales (UK) with the sea and snow on the mountains fantastic scenery and the best possible aircraft to view it from, just need some positive news from the factory and life would be total bliss!!! (sorry to swear!) now to tackle the rust chips as I have noticed how quickly they multiply being based on the Gower Penninsular (Swansea West Wales ) which must be closest licensed airport in the UK to the sea as a circuit on 28 takes you down wind virtually along the sea cliffs, so on a bad day you can watch the sea fog rolling in to try and get you!

Yo Mark, how come I didn't see you at the NW Aviation show in Puyallup this weekend? I figured you'd come by my booth and make fun of me or something. I even brought a little So Cal sunny weather with me in February just to piss off the northwesterners
