  • Rig Front Cable First?

I need clarification before I mess up ! When adjusting the ailerons to get the 1/4 inch droop do I first tighten the forward cable to get the ailerons up to the 1/4 inch droop then tighten the rearward cable to get the correct tension? Please be patient with me as this is new territory..

    Thanks folks...... bob price

Bob, where is your mechanic during your rebuild? If you are willing to do the work great but you still need supervision to get a proper signoff. I would rig the yolks first then the ailerons. Tim

          Re: Rig Front Cable First?

Thanks to all the positive feedback I was able to get the cables properly rigged with the correct droop on the ailerons, wheels centered and free movement of the controls! My mechanic will meet with me this morning to inspect everything which he has been doing from the moment the TCraft was in my garage and after it was moved to a hangar next to his shop on January 20 (before the big snow/blizzerd hit! blocking access and cutting off power). He will install new bungee cords and inspect everything so I can get the floor back in. The engine is being overhauled with new bottom end and chrome cylinders at shops in Virginia and PA...
N96326 should be a great ship with many more years added to her!
