    Re: Bungee Safety Cable jig

Robert, The quick way is to buy Rob's good used cables...for someone who has to find some other source...this is one option. I made a jig to reproduce my own, using my original cables for measurement purposes. I used 3/16 inch cable, (7 X 19 strand construction[flexible]...(would hate to try forcing 5/16 inch cable through where it needs to go). I used two, 1-1/8 inch diam. steel pins, spaced 26 3/4 inches apart (center to center)...pressed into holes in a 2" by 6" board. I formed the end loops around the pins and Nicopressed them so they were snugged up pretty firmly against the pins. The loops formed fit over the bungee cord pegs with a bit of effort...mine won't come off unless I take them off. This picture may help you follow my explanation and "Tundra" engineering! Dick

I had a brain fart. I meant to say 5/32", but 3/16" could be right. Tom

Thanks for the great explanation, the picture certainly made everything very clear. I will make my own set for sure. I also ordered the bungee cords yesterday as well. I'm even thinking about giving wheels a try since I have
never flow a T on wheels. Only problem I have now is that I have a climb prop only, I guess it will do for some local flying .
