  • Tailpost; problem with alignment

Folks - Yes, I did make a jig so that the tailpost location was set in 3D, HOWEVER....

I can make the tailpost square and centered with the lower longerons, but it's not center with the upper longerons; it's off to the right by about 1/2". I can cause the tailpost to center with both the lower and upper longerons, but then the tailpost will tilt to the left.

Any suggestions on how I can get the tailpost centered and square? - Mike

FOLO: I think I've fixed it; may have been some twist in the fuselage between the firewall and the tail

Right; I haven't disturbed the forward vertical fin post and you can see it's about 1/2" offset to port. I did some leveling and it appears I'm back to square. Thanks, Mike
