Please forgive the non-Tcraft intrusion into a forum that has little to do with this directly... but I'm sure SOME of you know people who have airplanes that this affects. I've just completed the FAA STC process from initial idea to awarded STC in less than four months... what a ride! The website content for this product is up but still graphically under construction. But the guts are there. Anyone who knows somebody with a manual flap Cessna or PA series piper (Super Cub thru Milkstool) please turn them on to this... I'm trying to "just say NO to poverty"

STC for EZ Flap Cessna 100 Manual Flap Handle Assist Device
Los Angeles, CA August 8, 2009 – The FAA has issued STC SA-02246LA for the “EZ Flap” flap handle extension device on Cessna 170 through 185 manually operated flaps. The device allows pilots to extend and retract the flaps without loosening their shoulder harness or taking their focus off of flying the airplane.
Inventor Bill Berle is enthusiastic about the new product, saying; “ For 60 years, pilots of manual flap Cessnas had to lean forward almost into the instrument panel and the control yoke, to reach down for the flap handle. Most people can’t even see out of the airplane while they’re fishing around for the flaps. Anyone using a properly tightened standard shoulder harnesses simply cannot reach the flaps at all, and is forced to loosen the harness during the most dangerous phase of the flight. EZ Flap solves that problem once and for all, with 100% fail-safe security.”
The EZ Flap device installs onto the existing flap handle in 30 minutes with no disassembly or de-rigging, and is completely removable. The only airframe modification is two 6-32 threaded holes. The EZ Flap STC for the Piper Pa-18 Super Cub and PA-22 is nearing completion in August. Trademark and patents pending. For more information visit http://www.ezflaphandle.com or call 818-634-9762.
