My questions:
1) What is the actual current status of this STC? Has it been sold on? To whom does one apply?
2) If the Harar STC does not apply to <1200# ships, which STC allows for the modification from B --> B12?
3) Does there exist another STC (or series of STCs) for the installation of a C85 in a pre-war airplane?
4) What are the concrete benefits to keeping a t-craft in the Standard Certification Category? Just nostalgia?
Thanks.

Interviews with Jack now tell us that he never intended to have the early “B” Models with 1150 Gross wt and 13 rib wings made eligible to jump directly to the 1280 or 1500 lb gross.
IF the early ”B” is modified to upgrade it to the 1200 lb Gross of the BC-12, BF-12 or BL-12 of 1941 , THEN the STC can be applied.
SOME copies of the STC out in the field have a penciled notation that it applies to “All “B” models. An interview with Bob Harer last month confirmed all this information. He is now explaining to any inquiries that the early “B” with 1150 Gross is not eligible as intended by Jack Gilberti or himself.
The STC is now issued to specific ser# airplanes.
