      Re: propeller

IMHO a 74 inch prop is a better deal on a 65. That is if metal. Wood props I don't know from caca. A 74 gives you 2.5 Sq. ft. thrust area more than a 72 inch. That many extra sq ft area of air being blasted back at 100mph or so is going to make a difference. All things considered, longer is better. (Did I actually say that?) Run a search here for props, prop, propeller, climb rate, ect. You will find a LOT of information on said subject.

metal 74-45 or 74-43 Sensenich & McCauley ; round & square tip have different characteristics. Try the prop first if possilble.

What is the difference in performance between a square tip and a round tip prop, everything else being equal?

              Re: propeller

They cannot be compared by pitch & dia . Each manufactuer Sen & Mac measure pitch at a different station . You really have to try them on your ship. We did props swap day here once and I found the round tip was quieter and did a great job on my A-65 ; Metal 74-45 Sensenich is my choice.

1a90 75-38 McCauley, Its a cessna 150 seaplane prop, you will get off the water real quick with that one. I have a friend with an F-19 and an O-200 that is really nice to fly with it. Tim
