I need more nose up trim also. I wonder if the new struts are slightly shorter than the old ones, less dihedral, maybe more efficient. My old rear struts were adjusted way out, the new ones are adjusted way in.

I think it was rigged right, the only adjustment is the rear struts of course, and they're pretty easy to rig right. I've seen Monocoupe guys take out a little dihedral (all 4 struts adjust) to go faster, and I think the Univair struts must be slightly shorter than the old ones, a touch less dihedral.
Have you measured the old front struts against the new ones? Surely there is not that much difference between the two. I know we used to take some of the dihedral out of our Tri-Pacer and Pacer builds and they were much faster, but they had a bunch of dihedral to start with.
