I'd like to commend a supplier.
I spent half the day yesterday running around town trying to find grease seals/retainers for the inboard wheel bearings. Plenty of 08125 Timkin bearings around...but no seals.

So this morning I tried calling Skybound:
I said "Do you have the 6CP35 bearing retainer?"
    She said, "Sure."
I said "Do you have 2 of them?"
    She said, "Sure"
I said, "Could you send me a couple?"
She said, "Sure, gimme your address. I'll send the parts, then you send me the money. OK?"
    I said, "Sure."

It was that simple. I love Skybound.

    Re: wonderful skybound

glad you had a good experience. It took us over 6 months to get brake shoes that never even worked. 4 times they sent us shoes that didn't fit and twice they sent shoes with crooked rivets and the clips on the ends cracked completely in 2 pieces. If we had installed those shoes without inspecting them they would have most likely come apart inside the drums and I hate to think what would have happened. 4 times we shipped them back and each time it took them WEEKS to send them back.

In the end we never did get shoes that fit and we had to make our own.

DJ and Bob G., Maybe we could generalize by saying that they are really good for supplying manufactured parts that they don't make, but it might be best to stay away from having them build or repair anything in their facility.

My expericence with them on existing parts was the same as Bob's.

My experience was also good...took a while, but they delivered the goods, and great customer service.

I didn't order shoes, so I don't know how well they would do with those, other than DJ's experience. (Yes, I read the thread...did they come back with anything about learning the right size?)

I did once order shoes from Aircraft Spruce, possible 12 years ago...they were OK.
