Re: Original style round inspection hole covers
My stack of 30 factory-made inspection hole covers arrived today from my man Antonio at Taylorcraft in Brownsville, along with 60 loose spring straps. These are all nicely pre-drilled, but they'll need riveting. Two parallel straps per cover, one inch apart. Four small vent holes, punched so the dimples go inside, rather than protruding toward the outside. Slight 1/8 inch wide bevel around the perimeter, but otherwise flat. Four and 5/8 inches diameter.
(On a side note, I've been getting excellent customer service from Antonio with my last few parts orders. He offered to paint these with a new coat of primer before he shipped them. He also apologized if sometimes the phone rings and rings with no answer -- there's no answering machine, and if he's away from the desk picking and shipping parts, there's nobody else there to pick up the phone. Just like the Maytag repairman...)
