  • New Cylinders

I have a cracked cylinder on 43457 and have been looking for a replacement. I got a quote from Harrison Engine Service of $675 a cylinder complete. I'm thinking of replacing all four.
Does anybody know of a better source/price for A-65 cylinders and has anybody used Harrison Engine Service for cylinders?

It might be worth getting the cylinder welded up. I had one of ours done a year or two back...I suppose it depends where the crack is (ours was in the spark plug hole) and it cost us £200 (say $300 at today's rate) for a certified repair. And this sort of thing is not cheap in the UK.

Another option is to bite the bullet and get replacement cylinders for the lot...I guess Millenium run at around $2500-ish, but it is effectively a complete top overhaul.

I just purchased a new Millenium for $1250, including shipping. I put four of these on 10 years ago, this one had a broken oil ring and was too bad to hone out. They get you on a single cylinder purchase as you can buy four about $3800 plus shipping. One place we called wouldn't even sell one, you had to buy all four.

If you pay much more than 900.00 for a new cylinder you are getting screwed, I bought 4 and had them overnighted for less than 900. Dont dick with old junk, I went with ECI's for my O-200 because they have exaust rotators, but for the 65 you are limited to Superior's. I went through 5 used supposedly yellowtagged overhauled cylinders in 150 hours, I put new ones on and have flown 500 hours and my compressions are mid to high 70's.

        J&J air parts lists 65's for a set of 4 for 3599, 85's are 833 and O-200's are 699.

I agree, I went with New Titans on my old 150 you get new everything except the piston pin and rockers. Ran so good and sounded so sweet.
