Re: New t-craft owner
Be careful if you have the stromberg(sp?) carb. when flying in the winter. Always always always clear the throttle on final. I had the motor die on me a few times during the roll out.Catch the fish, to make the money, to buy the bread, to gather the strength, to catch the fish...

Re: New t-craft owner
Remember one thing, it is not a cub and do not expect to do the same things as the cub. There are lots of 337's in the tech references section. I perfer the T-craft over the cub because I think I get more bang for the buck. You will not have the parts support like you did on the cub, but if you fly the airplane within practical limits, (no flaps, hand propin with the 65, heel brakes) you will enjoy it. I landed my T-craft in a farmers field in Northern Wisconsin and I had 1500', I would not have tried it with less, I was lucky to clear the Barb wire fence halfway down the field.....Enjoy it and have fun. Feel free to ask questions. TimN29787

Re: New t-craft owner
Yeah it just the old 65hp have found parts are hard to come buy am looking for a throttle cable right now and of course a bungee tool. This plane has been sitting for a few years in-doors so it is getting an really good inspection. Looking forward to flying it even though it wont be no 150hp cub, little easier on the pocket book, thats what i am looking for. Just a plain panel nothing fancy. Needs tires, any suggestions on what brand of tires for 8.50 have heard different brands are different heights.

Re: New t-craft owner
I have flown a 65hp t-craft in and out of 600' on a regular occasion with a barbed wire fence on each end. You have to be on your numbers when landing but getting back out was no problem and I was running a standard prop(McCauley 74/45). Welcome to the group.Kevin Mays
