What's your serial number; mine is 7122 and has stamped ribs. I was told that this s/n should have built-up ribs, but don't find any documentation of the wings being replace. Also, one side is rib stitched and the other wing has the clips. Which is correct and legal?David Johnson

Fabric much be attached in same method as used by the manufacture. Any deviation of attachment methods is considered a major alteration. Major alterations can only be done by an STC or 337. This is per AC 43.
Rib stitch was used on built up rib pre war airplanes, post war with stamped ribs used martin wire.
I know there is an STC for post war wings to use PK screws. Is there also an STC for rib stitch?Ray
