    Re: Taylorcraft to Oshkosh

I've downloaded the NOTAM from the EAA website, purchased my transatlantic flights, so we're all go, yes?

I'll be at Brodhead under canvas from the evening of Thursday 24 July until we depart on the morning of Sunday 27th.

    Be there or be square.

I plan to arrive Brodhead Saturday the 26th. If I bring a bottle of the new Templeton Rye whiskey from Iowa, do you suppose I can entice the rest of the gaggle to help me wax my plane for judging upon arrival at Oshkosh?

Is there a place I can roll out a sleeping bag for the night if I arrive at Brodhead on Sat?

            Eric (and others)

I plan on riding my cycle down Saturday afternoon. Not sure I will be able to spend the night, but I can set up a (3) man tent for you to use? I have two if any others need a place to stay. Let me know.

It turns out I won't be flying to OSH. I thought perhaps Mary would drive the motorhome to OSH and I would fly but she isn't comfortable with driving up alone, navigating through Madison and into the campground. Sleeping on the ground isn't an option for either of us anymore.

We'll see you there and hope the weather is good.

I'll be there but won't be able to fly in with you guys. The earliest I can get there is Wednesday the 30th! I'll be in VAC though! I'll be on the lookout for you all!

Brodhead has HUGE mosquitos I go to OSH on Sun or Mon. see u all there. The Fly-In at Alliance is going well , good weather, two ships in now. Lots of parts going cheap. I have heard from five states so far that they are on the way. We will have the "Old" factory tour on Sat at 2PM....

Alas, only four, Mr. Ambassador. Carl Carson is planning to drive the motorhome rather than fly (see his last post above.)

Does it count if you are there but didn't get there by Taylorcraft?

My feeble sacrifices to the scheduling God's were not adequate...I have to work Sunday and won't be able to rendevous in Brodhead. I plan on arriving into OSH Monday or Tuesday. See ya's all then!
