Mike,
Here's your perfect chance to learn to fly. Can't think of a better airplane for that! Do you or your brother have kids? Pass it down... its your dad's legacy.

Ive seen the airplane before... stopped in at D-J-Perry Airport about a year ago. It seems like I recall it was very original. I recall it has a checkerboard paint pattern on the tail. Just like mine and many others, it just needs a little TLC.

Mike,
Terry is right. If you decide to keep it bet you will have plenty of help from other T/crafters -the forum is a great place to start. It would cost a fraction of what renting a plane will and about 1000 times the fun and will appreciate in value. Hope you can keep it-or find a good home close to where you live for it.

Mike,
If your family doesn't need the money, and you ever had the desire to share what the Eagles know, this is the PERFECT time and situation to do it.
I started flying in a 7AC Champ when I was fourteen years old, but was never able to own my own ship till I was in my late thirties. Renting was SOOO expensive that I eventually built my own ultralights, and flew them.
It wasn't till 2004 that I owned my BC-65, and I would not sell her for ANY amount of money.
If you learn to fly in your father's ship, it will cost you a fraction of the amount it would normally cost you to get your licence.
Then, just take her up on a cross country flight some night, away from any city lights, relax, and listen to your dad tell you flying stories.
My dad flew, but I never got the chance to fly with him, or to fly any planes he flew. You have a RARE opportunity.

Terry, thanks for responding. Neither my brother nor I have kids but I would still love to keep it in the family. The only problem is right now I havent the financial means to learn to fly or to restore the T/Craft. Someday I might but not this year, and my mother is actually the owner now so its basically her decision. I would love to keep it in my general area of OKC. so I could follow its progress and maybe someday even fly in it again and who knows maybe buy it back! Unfortuneately thats where we stand right now. I am going to email some pics out tonight that I havent emailed yet. I have to go right now but will be back later............Thanks Mike

Hey tribe,Mike emailed me these pics of his dad't t-craft(N43463). I know he had problems earlier and could not post them so I resized them and here they are. Let's help him out. I sent him an email with some of my personal advise,opinions, and even a rough offer if he decides to sell. I think whoever gets this bird really needs to take there time with it and really restore it right,original,and the to show quality. This is truely one of the last truely straight un butchered t-crafts. The only thing I can see that isn't original is the luscombe exhaust.....and I thought that was my idea,lol.

Thanks for doing that for me Kevin......Thats funny, I didnt realize that the exhaust wasnt original! My dad loved flying Luscombes too!!

He did that big patch on the passenger side within the last year or so. He said he went down to the airport one day and there was a big tear in that wasnt there the last time he had been down. Obviously she needs recovering and some other TLC by someone who will appreciate it like my dad did and keep his spirit alive.....I feel like I have made a few friends here already and I appreciate all everyone has done for me so far. I will take some more pics this weekend and you can post them as well. I need to take some of the cockpit and let you all see that. It is in need of some TLC as well!! Thanks again.........Mike

Here are some more pics Mike sent to me.Enjoy. Mike,you mentioned the exhaust. I wanted something better then stock on my t-craft also and this is the best system I could find.....check out the last picture,lol.
