    Re: Taylorcraft 2000 LLC

Then let's hope that AT LEAST the upcoming change announcement involves a change in the ownership status of Type Certificates A696 through A700.

If Harry still has a legal interest in 1A9 or another TC, at least the MAJORITY of T-craft owners falling under A696-700 can be free of this albatross.

For God's sake Forrest, I know you don't want to be in the airplane building business, but the Foundation needs to own the TC's and at least be in the licensing business for replacement parts. That would only mean that the Foundation licenses the drawings and data to XYZ parts manufacturing business like Univair or Wag-Aero or some cottage industry guy... like the people building Bungee tools and T-craft jack stands. People who already have PMA ability and a relationship with the FAA.

Harry is such a schmuck. What about all those who ordered (and are still waiting for) parts prior to all this?

I wish I had the $$ to buy the TC. Someone needs to do just that and put a good reputation back into the name of Taylorcraft airplanes.

The assets are for sale. Anyone ready to pony up?

OK, The Taylorcraft assets are for sale. Is it time for all the talkers among us to step forward, if that's what we really want. Anyone know how many owners there actually are out there? The assets are listed at $750,000. That's 1,000 shares at $750 each. How many potential buyers do we have?
There are lots of problems, but they aren't worth talking about if we don't own the assets. Don't ANYONE get the idea they can make a profit on this kind of "investment". You WON'T. You may be able to get your money back from another "investor" but any earnings above the basic dollars will be a dead loss (at best).
Who wants to own a piece of an airplane company?

I wish I could buy it as advertised too, but not enough $! I have 113 acres of ground, 40 miles north of Brownsville, a two runway airfield, a 4000 sq. ft. hangar and am an A&P, IA, Professional Engineer, experience managing a large multimillion $ manufacturing facility, and years of aviation background as an engineer for the Navy over the years.
Have plenty of room to build a factory and am not beholden to any city or anything. It would be an easy move to here.

I just arrived home, it is 11:10PM EST , I have two messages from Scot Ruffner that he was trying to post the following:
yes that is Scot with one T ; I am still Forrest with 2 r's.... sorry Scot !

                    NOTICE TO TAYLORCRAFT OWNERS
                    from Harvey Patrick, Managing Member
                    TAYLORCRAFT 2000, LLC

I have had D&E Aircraft management on-site at the Brownsville operation for
several weeks while we entertained offers to purchase or refinance Taylorcraft
Aviation, LLC and regretfully we did not succeed and were forced to repossess all assets of Taylorcraft Aviation, LLC on February 21, 2008.

My team worked with the FAA MIDO and Engineering offices to finalize approval of the new lift strut design and processes; these were verbally approved on February 29, 2008. We expect written approval this week.

D&E purchased materials and hired Taylorcraft's employees and a DAR to build 13 lift-strut sets which will be available for purchase from D&E Aircraft upon receipt of written approval from the FAA.

I regret that we cannot fulfill orders accepted by Taylorcraft Aviation, LLC prior to my repossession of the assets.

D&E Aircraft will relocate the Taylorcraft 2000, LLC assets to their facility
in Lake Worth, Florida and will operate a PMA facility to supply parts to support the fleet until we can find a purchaser or gather the necessary management team to operate Taylorcraft 2000, LLC.

                    Sincerely,

                    Harvey O. Patrick

Try twice that much more or triple. Right now we are just talking about enough t-craft members to put together enough cash to buy it so the foundation will own the rights. This way the foundation can contract people to make parts or what ever. It will also make drawings more accessable to us all and possibly factory tooling too. It would be a very wise investment but not one where you think your going to make money. Like said above, the more of us there is to put up money the less money we will need to buy it. I know of at least 5 to 10 people around here who would put up a $1000 +/- who don't have a computer and are not club or foundation members. I could put up a substancail donation myself. Let's see what we can raise.
Forrest, Do you think Mr. Patrick might work with us a little while we try to raise money or do you think this entire thing is a bad idea?????

Re: Taylorcraft 2000 LLC Is FOR SALE 3-5-08

Well if you want to count numbers , it is all avaialble to you users; this morning we have 1071 folks registered, about 60% are paid up Taylorcraft Foundation members. Somebody always starts other threads, over there they are discussing money.
I HAVE posted all this before , from past experience since 1968 with Charles & Dorthy Feris I feel that at the present time it will take 2-3 million dollars after the acquisition of the assets of Taylorcraft 2000, LLC .
Then you have to look at what is left there in Brownsville or wherever it moves too.
Taylorcraft Aviation, LLC (Harry Ingram) may still play a role if there was not a clean settlement. Remember this was a foreclosure, I am sure many folks that are owed money will now get into the courts for recovery.
I am now going to monitor the situation, make phone calls, intertain phone calls, AND go this afternoon to the Sports Complex and exercise and blow off steam. THANK you all for your patience, I have to comply with the wishes of others to maintain their confidence. keep the discussion going. Maybe Warren Buffett is the answer
