  • Clayton Skylight STC

I just spent an hour on the phone with Greg Clayton- owner of the Skylight STC. What a wealth of Taylorcraft information!! Very nice guy to talk too.

I ordered the last of his skylight kits. He mentioned he may or may not be building more kits due to health reasons. If he does, it will be a few months minimum.

Here is his information for the STC
This kit can be retrofitted to flying aircraft, minimal welding required.

    Greg Clayton
    P.O. Box 56102
    North Pole AK, 99705
$375 shipped. (same as it has been for 20 or more years)
Includes drawings and all parts except the Plexiglas.
    STC # SA661AL

I know this information is listed through multiple old posts, but thought it would be nice to have it all in one.

Not sure if he is done with it, but he said it had mechanical leading edge slats like a helio and big Cessna style fowler flaps. Sounded like quite a modified T-Craft and seemed excited about it.

We talked more about replacing tail posts, beefing up the tail of Taylorcrafts and common lower longeron problems.

Can you share your discussion on replacing the tail post; I gotta do one - Mike

In fact could you persuade him to join here and post some of his observations on Taylorcraft in general?

His experiences, opinions & observations would be welcome.
