      Steve,
I'll be there provided the RV is out of the shop by then. If not, I'll try to hitch a ride with someone.

lIt's quite a long flight for my DC-65, about 10 miles I think, but I'll try to make it.

Start out the other way like I did coming to Alliance , one time , it will be 24,990 miles that way. kind of like Wrong-Way Corrigan, sounds like a fine fly-in.

If I can get a kitchen pass and the wind is favorable, NC 29815 will be there.
If I can get a kitchen pass and the wind is not favorable, Bonanza arrival.
If I cannot get a kitchen pass, ya'll have fun.

Planned first flight is Saturday, 9 Feb 2008. All signed off today. Old empty weight 693, new empty is 706. Airframes struts.

Thanks Forrest, I was not aware of the EAA calendar. I added the fly-in.

Chet, do you think you'll be able to find a fuel stop on your way over?

Thank you Howard. I am just the current curator of the plane. The restoration was done by the Bakers in Illinois in 1994. Credit goes the these gents for the quality.

She took to the air again 07:30 9 Feb 2008. It was one of those perfect days, <5 mph down the runway, <50 F, clear and warming to 70 for the day. Dad and son watched the take off. I flew for 45 minutes, made 6 landings, parked it for lunch. My 5.5 yr old twisted my arm for a ride in the afternoon. I think my son currently has the skills to be an airshow pilot since he cannot reach the rudder pedals and likes looking at the ground out the side window, and likes floating on the seat.

Mike, the airplane looks good. That 693 empty weight was an actual weight, and not just calculated. Tom Baker

I may have to come just to see Tom's old bird. It has been 20 years since I first saw the DeLuxe his dad did.
