Looking for original air box to buy or copy. Would consider a paper outline. Thanks George

    Re: Airbox

    George,
If you are looking for the air filter box that hangs off of the carb, look in Wag Aero. At least for BC12-D.
If there is some other style air box you need, I don't have an answer, but someone in the tribe will surely know.
    Best Regards,
    Mark Julicher

Send me an email adress and I will send you a pic of a prewar one, if its not the style you need, it will be the same as a C-150 one....Tim

I have one that is busted up, you could have it for a template, I looked at building one and its pretty complex to get the tube for the carb heat pressed through with a lip. Its made from Ternplate, I have a source for it, if you need. Let me know. Tim

I just sent you 3 pics, let me know if you got them. My box was modified for an aircleaner sometime in its life. Tim

                Re: Airbox

There are the original drawings for the pre-war airbox on Ron Greene's cd's. A copy of these cd's is on the taylorcraft.org website, but for $25 or thereabouts (with most going to the Foundation), Ron Greene will send you them. PM him for details.

The old airbox is much neater than the scrubber (unless you live in the dustbowl, where filtration is more important).
