Re: in need of fuselage fuel tank

    I got my tank today!

Ordered the first one off the Wag Aero line! All aluminum and quite nice.

This was the last piece to my annual puzzle and if all goes well I should be flying by the end of next week!

It's been a long 3 1/2 months and many dollars spent!

Glad things worked out OK on the fuel tank-hope that old valve worked also. Tom(@ Wag Aero) is interested in making other parts for Taylorcrafts too. I mentioned to him that I would try to find out what is most in demand so if anyone wants to let me know I would be glad to relay it to him or just give him a call. The last time I talked to Tom he is still needing a lower windshield fairing for a pattern so if anyone has one he can make those too. Hope you get your plane flying soon-bet it will be a really well maintained T/craft.

I saw that Wag-Aero got a complete list two years ago. Then I sent them a full set of tail surfaces , two hinge & three hinge. Then wing tanks & and perhaps a main fuel tank , I have all that here for them to use if they want to recontact me. I will call them again next Monday. thanks Buell all this parts stuff with Wag-Aero is history ; my drawings here at the Foundation are to be used for research, and repair by the Foundation members only, perhaps that was the problem.

I asked about landing gear without too much success.Prehaps when Forrest calls then he would have a better idea of demand and have better luck. Tom did say that since they are an approved repair station they can repair them so may be that will help.

yes they are on list for Tues calls or maybe even Monday. My BC12D is in the shop for Annual , struts off Monday and then off for NDT, will report findings on the other thread. I too agree that we have certain needs and communication does work, but I am so tired of repeating the same old stuff.

There is a fuselage tank on ebay under taylor craft not taylorcraft.
