  • Shinn Wheel Bearings

I'm a relatively new owner and have just taken a first look at the wheel bearings. They are in good shape but some retaining washers are missing and the rings that should have felt are without the felt. Is there anyone that can help me locate a source for replacements?

Jim, there is just one washer per bearing, and no felts. If you would post a picture someone will chime in if it doesn't look correct. Tom

No felts, there is suppose to be a keyed washed outside and a thin washer to protect the screw faces on the inside. I have the outer grease seals new, no inners.

          Hi Don,

Welcome to the forum. I assume you are wandering around the forum a bit but you are commenting on posts 8-10 years old. Skybound is a well-known firm on this forum. Thanks for your comments, though.
          Cheers,
          Marty

If you have the old bearings and seals you should be able to go to Motion Industries or Bearings Inc. if they are still in business and they can cross reference the number or maybe have the original.

This is a note I have from a few years ago.

For B, BC models with tapered axles: Inner 08125 bearing/08231 race,
Outer A6075 bearing/A6162 race. Not sure if they would be the same for your model.
